After the success of the previous wall, the good folk at De Buurvrouw asked me to back to decorate their main wall in the bar. The inspiration came from the famous song by The Beat ‘Mirror in the Bathroom’ (there’s a fantastic interview with Dave Wakeling about the origin of the songs’ lyrics, not what you think). More details, a few 360 degree panoramas and a video after the jump.

I set up a timelapse camera, capturing every 30 seconds or so. The video below also has a soundtrack made by Amsterdam’s own Dr Marshmallow Cubicle, featuring the many talents of another long time collaborator and dear friend Steve FlyAgaric Pratt with guitar by Vicente Pino.

It is often said that art and commerce don’t mix, but that’s just one of the many myths that Contemporary Jazz Guitarist, Gregory James has broken down during his musical odyssey. Gregory has recorded ten albums and been invited to perform alongside such musicians as McCoy Tyner, Sergio Mendes, Ray Charles, Max Roach, Mark Isham, and Steve Smith’s Vital Information. Gregory James’ music celebrates, and sonically connects, the two cities that have most shaped him, and in the words of Downbeat magazine, “Bridges the gap between musical adventure and mass appeal.”

Born in San Francisco, James began studying guitar with David LeRoy Smith at the age of 11, and by 15 he was jamming in some of The City’s finest after-hours joints with the likes of Amandio Cabral, Eddie Duran, and Vince Guaraldi. While studying with the great Brazilian guitarist, Bola Sete, Gregory James was listening to The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Charles Lloyd and Kenny Burrell, and beginning to experiment with fusion.

In the 1970s he left San Francisco to dive into the New York jazz scene, and was soon on the bandstand with such players as Bobby Scott and Chico Hamilton. He was signed to New York’s Inner City Records label, and released the debut of the Gregory James Quartet, Alicia, in 1978, featuring bassist Andre St. James, drummer Randy Merritt, saxman Barry Shulman, and percussionist Baba Daru. After two years of touring and playing the New York scene he resettled in San Francisco and joined saxman Shulman in the punk-jazz quartet Video Rouge.

In 1982 James returned to instrumental music, forming the Rogue Records label. He recorded two jazz-rock albums with his electric quartet, Madagascar and ALPHABET TOWN, and a duet album, TIBET, with Shulman. James’ genre-bending creativity won praise on the pages of Guitar Player.

To satisfy his growing interest in world musics, James began studying flamenco guitar with Jason McGuire, and put away his electric axe for an acclaimed duet with bassist Kai Eckhardt, THE SEARCH . The album ANANDA followed, a world jazz mélange that blends nylon-stringed, electric and MIDI guitars with the beautiful brass and woodwind tones of Ron Miles and Paul McCandless (Oregon), backed by a rhythm section of Marc and Paul Van Wageningen and Peter Michael Escovedo. James then brought in Yellowjackets saxophonist Mark Russo to collaborate on the radio-friendly album, TRAVELER.

By 2001’s REINCARNATION album, James was playing some saz, incorporating violinist Jenny Scheinman, turntablist DJ Fly, the spoken word of Craig Easley and Catie Murphy and talking drum of Rasaki Aladokun atop an already rich musical landscape. COME TO ME, produced by Benny Reitveld (Miles Davis, Santana) in 2003, is perhaps the most complete realization of James’ flamenco-jazz stylings with elements from hip-hop, classical, funk, rock and world beat and a guest list including Karl Perrazo and Raul Rekow of Santana, keyboardist Peter Horvath, Rita Thies, Alex Murzyn and Baron Shul on woodwinds, and DJ Fly, among the crew.

Gregory James’ most recent album, SAMSARA, is a momentary return to gentler times. It’s a quartet date featuring bassist Jonathan Herrera, drummer Deszon Claiborne, and longtime saxman Baron Shul, highlighted by a delightful take on The Beatles’ “And I Love Her.”

Besides performing with his San Francisco-based quartet, Gregory James recently began recording with producer Cookie Marenco on The Valence Project, along with a growing cast of musical characters that includes drummer/programmer Brain (Primus, Tom Waits), bassists Jon Herrera and Kai Eckhardt, and vocalists Melissa Reese and Deborah Charles. Fans of Bill Laswell’s Material will be excited by these exotic and emphatic sounds. As always with Gregory James – stay tuned!

thinking of sinking the battleships of unbalance through these lips,

taking each moment as strips, reading in reels,
clicking my heels and going into the ceiling,

September 23rd and the Coltrane Synchronicity 2010

Awake before 9, at 11 Jehovah's Witnesses at the door, I invite them in for a chat, and I find myself launching into theological, philosophical and linguistic conversation with the two ladies. The first grey lady remained quiet, and she had a rather raw looking complexion, while the other lady who was darker and younger was born in Portugal, I discovered, and she liked to talk and converse with me on some pretty far-out subjects.

I felt that we touched on some fantastic ideas, or due to the line of conversation, about books 'the bible' texts, and speech, and 'individuals' that embody that speech, text, book? and how that can be so.

I was pleased to say that the lady had a rather pluralistic approach, and on one occasion when discussing human beings and 'spirits' she referred to us as being both at the same time.

I stated that the bible must be translated into many languages, and the difficulty's that must appear in translation, especially if the translated language is believed by some, to contain the 'words' of god, a proposed almighty creator and ultimate truth teller. Well, I proposed, surely a language closer to the signs and symbols and structures and 'sense' radiating from the bio-organic natural world of seasons, species, earth and stars, would be closer to the 'process' of that God, as I perceived him/her? And so, it follows, for me, that ideogrammic, and pictographic languages, in that they are built upon naturally poetically occurring 'forms' and 'functions' in nature, over millennia, are closer to God than alphabetic 'forms' and 'functions'. Alike mathematical 'forms and functions' alphabet seems to depend upon specific contexts and very special conditions, basically you have to be 'in the know' to grok what the feck' the symbols refer too., whereas every human being can recognize the moon, the sun, a tree, and the figure of a human being standing, sitting or bending over?

Early in the conversation, the sweet ladies did mention the 'devil' "whoops" I thought to myself at around 11.30 am, what will I say about the devil?, and it went a little something like this, but of course I am adding a little swank here, but generally I communicated my thoughts and can recast them here for you to decide how the conversation transpired.

I contended that 'the devil' could not be person, yet, the spirit of the devil could somehow infect a person, like simply having a particularly violent or self-harming thought, but where do these 'devil spirits' come from? God, genes, culture? And why do many religions personify 'Godliness and Deviliness' in human beings, when they should know better than to attach labels and terms so loaded with cultural bias and confusion to human beings, that I view as being able to 'tune into' personae, or different personality complexes, a myriad of radiant voices in synchrony singing or just humming a song of oneself. All spirits, beings and entities are out there and 'in here', or are available for those who wish to tune in. 'Tune in' to mean both; dial up your internet search engine and dial up your consciousness interacting processes. I didn't say that, I used more simple terms, but thats kind of what I meant.

I barely touched on the subject of Magick, yet throughout our conversation I realized that the methodology they may really be searching for is probably best found in the system of Magick, more or less the arts and sciences of manifesting 'reality' in conformity of will. Or about as close to direct experience, without exotic chemical aid, if you take human neuro-chemistry as not really exotic enough, that you can find, in my experience and opinion. I was going to recommend Enochian Vision Magick to the kind Jehovah's Witnesses, but I found that our freestyle speech, without really quoting sources, was not the speech/space/time to spring such a concept. But was right there, poised in mind. The space between the study of language and the study of 'spirits' where the questions of authorship and origins come up, and how to best analyze them, seems to me fully explicated in Magick, I was reminded of this while talking to the ladies.

23 Coltrane

Today (I write this at 4.00 am) was significant to me for two reasons, before the odd conversation with the Jehovah's Witnesses; I moved most but not all of my belongings out of my apartment to a new one, and the 23rd of September denotes the birthday of John Coltrane, who I view to be a grandmaster of spirit language, along with the long list musical and cultural praises to him for his innovations to be found throughout music after the fact of 'Coltrane'.

I and I and I have had a running 'Coltrane synchronicity' noted in dream journals, pre-internet, and gradually building up intensity over the years. Today,for me, was right up there in the highest intensity region, out there in stellar regions where planets explode gasses escape, congeal, and new forms... today was a day of great Unity, at least in my life, and I intersected with what I consider the heart of the matter at hand: Internet, revolution, cognitive liberty and 'the tale of the tribe', and Coltrane.

I started what turned out to be a 58 minute mix with two copies of 'spiritual' by Coltrane, followed by Lenny Bruce on the verb 'to come', 'The drum thing' chased by the map world of the Universe otherwise know as 'Giant Steps', next 'Max Roach' with his classic and new favorite of mine called 'Nommo' (the name of a tribe said to be from the Sirius star system), Sun Ra interrupts the bass solo in Nommo to unwind 'the ridiculous I and the cosmic me' from the stylus needle point, taken from the re-issued 'Antique Black' treasures, Ra and Marshall Allen tear holes inspacetime and the tempt us back to Nommo, switching to Art Blakey and Jo Jones drum duo featuring Lord Buckley mixed in by the author, in jumps Thelonious Monk with 'April In Paris' followed by Trane's ballad 'easy to remember' 'Equinox' due to the fact that the vernal equinox fell on September 23rd this year of 2010. The final tune in the mix is 'A love supreme'.

I should mention that during the recording, dedicated to and inspired by John Sinclair, he called to send good wishes, in fact it was during 'easy to remember'. I told John this, and greeted him with the news that he had cut into my 'live' Coltrane mix, and intersected with my trains of thoughts.

One hour after pressing stop on my recorder I was carrying boxes up and down stairs, moving apartment, a rather head numbing experience, seeing everything in boxes, hoping my ride would not get stopped somehow and all my shit get impounded, or some nightmare scenario, but this only lasted a while, and I was soon on the tram heading to work, leaving my new abode on the West side of Amsterdam.

Craphound.

On my feet at work, I even said to my colleague that I did not feel like I was in my own body, due to many thoughts about things associated with moving house, for the most part, but also what I viewed as the Jehovah's Coltrane Synchronicity, in my mixed up swirl of thoughts, smoke and peach juice. I think this was some feedback from what was about to transpire.

Around nine O'Clock things had calmed down a little at the cafe' after a slight surge of visitors probably due to the brief rain showers, but inside the cafe' things, to mean almost everything in my reality complex, changed, and changed utterly, at first the I-tunes juke box started playing up and spitting out the same few tunes over and over again, 'Mud Club and My Guitar wants to Kill your mama, both by Frank Zappa'. Then the lights start to flicker ever so slightly, like they do if you turn the dimmer dial too far up, but no one was near the light switches. The coffee shop cat started to 'meeow' and chatter his teeth while rolling on his back, something he never does like that.

A plume of smoke rushed through the door like a funnel or bundle of smoke, and then outside the planet saturn with its tell tale rings and autumn colors hung right there just outside the front doors of the cafe, beaming through the doors the cluster of swirling lights approached my counter, I stood in amazement before the wonder and pinched myself.

"Oh, sorry" I said to the elderly French couple who were waving a ten euro note in front of my nose wanting to pay for their cake and mixed cigarette, "for a minute I thought I was inside a computer game, and you were not really here at all, at all, your and 'I' was a fiction, a kind of sequence to a dream, Oh, please excuse me". I felt a pressure on the right side of my forehead and that kind of slight muscle twitch you get sometimes.

The cluster of bright lights spoke and as it did so all the lights in the cafe' went out, the computer kicked off with a whizz bang, and the cat went silent. Minds merged and direct transmission began between beings and objects, a unity wave passed through the shop, the people and the chairs and tables, all things whirling and waltzing the dance of maya. The letters from the posters on the wall left the frames and drifted off the wall onto the floor and seemingly all over the place. Tiny elf chemists danced on the tabletop, turning pencils into roll-out projector screens that mice could carry. The ashtrays all began to melt into intricate wheels and cogs, slowly turning against the brown and gold brass light frames.

Table mats folded and shaped themselves into thousands of tessellation's, grids, maps, calendars, puzzles, origami games and yet still functional drinks mats. The water taps unhooked themselves and re-rooted their ways up and out the cafe' the rooftop where fresh rainwater could be gathered. I looked up and the ceiling and gone, removed, missing and replaced by a remarkable labyrinth of Escher like tessellation, but in fact you have a complete scale stretched model map of the Universe according to Hubble, thanks to sensible planning between photographic arts and tailor made printing.

Somebody reached for a lightbulb and ate it like it was a peach, it dripped like a peach and the young girl seemed to be loving it, and had an amber glow like that of the peach after eating,beaming with extra amber alabaster lights and shade foot stealth.

Today, I met the author and journalist Cory Doctorow at my workplace, and turned him onto some cutting edge media, and still held a pleasant and jolly conversation with him, who i view to be one of greatest active minds of our time. I had read his book 'makers' just a half of a year ago and became inspired by said book and of course, the work he does on behalf of EFF, and beyond. A personal hero, and the last person I was expecting to walk into my work place on Septermber 23rd. best wishes, steve

The Kai Eckhardt Mentorship Program is a 108 day guided practice for bassists ranging from beginner to highly advanced. It is molded after the Indian concept in which 108 repetitions are necessary to achieve mastery of any material. This daily routine is put together by combining elements of Kai's highly potent practice tools with specific exercises you, the student, will be asked to choose for yourself.

Brief description: Every student under the wing of this program adopts an alias receiving access to a username and password activated online journal. Students communicate with Kai on a daily basis by using a simple number and letter system to track development and progress online. ROBERT ANTON WILSON and the DJVJ Revolution.

I dedicate this writing to Ken Campbell and the Science Fiction Theatre of Liverpool, and Ole'England, to the creative artists who use music, theatre, and multimedia inspire others to interpret and spread the wisdom and ideas of Dr. Robert Anton Wilson across all four corners of the metaphorical, toast.

Approx. three years ago, Matt Black and Mixmaster Morris spearheaded a multimedia tribute to Robert Anton Wilson held at the Royal Queen Elizabeth Festival Hall in London. This event set the vanguard for a new decade of technology and cyber-culture directed toward expanding consciousness and connecting the emergent 'hyperintelligent' social newtworks into a comprehensive praxis of edutainment.

I played a small role in this event by way of my relationship with Deepleaf productions and Maybelogic that helped link up Matt B. and Dr. Wilson for some of the exsquisite video material used in the 2.5 hour extravaganza. With some help I also managed to find an independent host for the entire show, and have been ruthlessly promoting the event since March 2007 together with other sharable RAW related projects.

Over the last three years a lot has happened for the characters involved with this show and here I hope to touch upon some of these events and build a cultural map, with Dr. Robert Anton Wilson firmly in mind.

Ken Campbell
On the 31st of August 2008 the great British writer, comedian, actor Ken Campbell passed over, the comic-glue who pulled the whole RAW tribute event together as the ring master and master of ceremonies for that evening. Not afraid to follow in RAW’s footsteps and explore the 'Chapel Perilous' of his writings; Ken preserved the biting wit and information rich satire that I find budding in RAW and that seems to me desperately missing from the popular conspiracy movement and the alternative social network revolution. Equally, if studied and carefully extracted from these great exemplary figures and their works, what might be missing can indicate the ingrediants for a new synthesis.

There have been a number of fitting tributes to the life of Ken Campbell and I hope that someday, maybe somebody will produce an equally stunning multimedia tribute to Ken, like that which was made for Bob (RAW).

Jung’s Dream & Number 223
On a personal note I, like RAW have traced most of my reasoning for being here to Jung’s dream (Page 223 of Jung’s Memories, Dreams, Reflections) situated in Liverpool, a dream that inspired the creation of the science fiction theatre Liverpool, the theatre which the ‘science fiction group inhabited’ first opened on the day Jung died (6th June, 1961) and is the theatre where John Lennon and the Beatles first sang Yellow submarine, you can read about this on page 223 of Cosmic Trigger by Dr. Wilson.

The fact that Jung called Liverpool the ‘pool’ of life may be due to this dream he had that I found of particular interest as it concerns the discovery of a swimming pool. More than approx. half of the dreams that have come to me, and I have wrestled into the waking world concern bodies of water.

I should add that I first came across the works of Robert Anton Wilson in the mid 1990’s while living in the UK and the sources of my discovery lead me to deduct that Bill Drummond and the KLF, who were the rich cultural icons carrying the RAW flame in the UK at that time, probably led to my coming across Cosmic Trigger. Bill Drummond leads back to Liverpool and 1976 when he was working briefly alongside Ken Campbell, and in the RAW tribute video describes how he first came across the book Illuminatus Trilogy!

Bill spoke of his new seventeen project and ‘no music day’ that also came up on radio show (2009) on the 'late late breakfast show' that also featured my friend John Sinclair, who admires 'Wild' Bill Drummond, which brings us by a commodious vicus of recirculation back to the JAMS. The JAMS!

Word to the wise: Bill Drummond Burns a Million Quid.

RAW attracted me to the United States in 2000 A.D and led me on a five year journey acriss-cross the United States and back to Europe (2005). In fact, the day after the Royal Tribute to RAW I flew out from London to Amsterdam and have lived here since then up to 2010. I once caught up with Matt Black and Mike Ladd andColdcut when they played the club 'Paradiso' in 2008.

When I ask myself the simple question ‘why am I here’ the best short answer is because of Jung’s dream, that Ken Campbell start's off his fantastic and perfect choice role as narrator and ring-master of the Robert Anton Wilson memorial concert.

Due to the tragic loss of the great comic 'Ken Campbell' I hope that in his memory others will research and continue his work, re-enact his plays and read his words aloud. My contributions so far are only within the synchro-mesh that surrounds Liverpool and RAW.

Coldcut and Ninjatune and Big Dada.
Since the London performance Coldcut and the constellation of artists that appear under that umbrella have produced countless ‘live’ shows, recorded and released ‘tracks’ ‘albums’ and even a conscious social green movement called energyunion, continuing their trajectory into the uncharted territory of multimedia manipulation and networked sound arts and activism.

As some of the first visual jockeys (VJ's) and inventors of the first VJ software that I am aware of: VJAMM’ Coldcut and by extension Ninjatune have been the mainstay of my case for introducing some principles and methodologies from Dr. Wilson into the new cultural infotech-sphere.

I was first attracted to Ninjatune by way of the Jazz Breaks series around 1994 and some of the early releases from Journey's by DJ’s, Luke Vibert, DJ Food, Amon Tobin and Funki Porcini. This new sound together with the emerging Bristol-bass scene, some Drum and Bass brewing from both Birmingham and Wolverhampton and the sounds of James Lavelle’s 'Mo-Wax' imprint; more or less shaped my musical cultural leaning and inspired me to aquire turntables, a mixer and start sharing tunes with others and mixing em' together in a Novel way.

One sure fire sign that Ninjatune, or somebody at Ninjatune, had a respect for RAW came when they released NINJASKINS: Ninjatune signature rolling papers that came with a wonderfully intelligent fold out package describing various terms and phrases of Ninjatune philosophy.

A local encounter with a UK Graffiti artist CHU blossomed into a collaboration with another UK graffiti artist and music producer PART2 that was released on Ninjatune’s sister label ‘Big Dada records’ that was recently featured in a UK Hip Hop exposition. The track was called Quantum Mechanix’ from the album Equalibrium by New Flesh For Old, now shortened to New Flesh.

I should point out here that this was a one off release and I was a mere guest on the album, and that I played drums on the track while turntable scratching was provided by DJ Weston. But still I carried the album to the US in 2000 AD wishing to turn on Bob to Big Dada and Ninjatune, and my own ‘superstring theory’ recording, and perhaps collaborate on something, such were my naive desires as a 23 year old kid with his head in the clouds.

After spending some time with RAW at the Prophets Conference Palm Springs and in San Francisco, I was finally invited to his home to conduct an interview on September 10th 2002.

It was here he told me about a movie project he was working on with some locals tentatively called Maybelogic, and so like a good researcher; I got in contact with 'Deepleaf productions' and soon turned them on to Matt Black and Ninjatune, and some other musical entities I thought had an affinity with RAW such as 'Kosmic Renaissance' (The Supplicants). For this linking I was generously given associate producer credits on the finished movie, plus music I mashed-up featured on the DVD menu music featuring my mentor and Garaj Mahal bassist, Kai Eckhardt.

With the kind hearted and good spirited contributions to this DVD project from many sources it turned into my dream album in some sense, a movie all about RAW with a soundtrack by Ninjatune, more or less my favourite things.

Maybe it was all wishful thinking and I had done nothing more than send an email link, but for me after this spree of good fortune I would be a tireless promoter of this movie, of the Maybelogic Academy (that sprung up in 2004 to provide online classes with RAW himself) and of Ninjatune philosophy, although by no means representing Ninjatune officially, just by playing many of their records for over sixteen years and crediting them with inspiring me to experiment with 'psychedelic' DJ sets and mixing techniques. I simply resonate with their early philosophy of Funk, Jazz, Dub and Hip Hop mashups.

Since 2007 and moving to Amsterdam my musical diet has changed dramatically once again, almost leaving behind electronic music generally to develop 'live’ music and writing projects, greatly influenced by my encounter with the giant of music, poetry, activism, and the MC5: John Sinclair.

So today in March 2010, writing about Ninjatune lacks the original spark it first struck me with in the 1990’s, before I started writing, before Internet. Back then the new 'sample' sound hypnotized me deeply, but now has morphed into tones of Sun Ra, John Cage, Jimi and Miles... I am romancing Ninja to rekindle a flame in my heart and so pulling a particular lens gell upon COLCUT: a collective of artists on the Ninjatune label (and who appear upon many other labels of the independent persuasion) that happen to feature two members that instigated the imprint in the early 1990's.

Together with Mixmaster Morris, and Juxta, Coldcut produced the Robert Anton Wilson Tribute show in London that I have picked as the centre point for this writing, and in my opinion is the most information rich multimedia event to date.

"Although the circumstances for this event were somewhat rare and the resources to reproduce such an event based on donations for the most part, I still feel it stands as an testimony to Multimedia edutainment at its most terse and best, almost fully formed in its experimental launch that night the video teaches by example how educational lectures may look and sound like over the new decade.--Matt Black."

Although the show is 3 years old it has not picked up dust, only moonlight, and seems more relevant each day that passes, it stands as a great experimental interface between cinema, music, theatre, comedy and poetry that I feel culturally binds America, Britain and the rest of Europe and the entire World due to its shared global web presence and open source offering's.

All schools, colleges and University programs would benefit from such an interactive DJ VJ interface to present artistic interpretations of intellectual topics and biographical data.

Alan Moore.

For me Alan Moore produces consistent work that secure his place as the greatest living Britain; one of the best, a genius in fact, and a widely celebrated creative interpreter of 'art and reality engineering', buttered with RAW’s maps and recipes.

To see and hear Alan reading from ‘Masks of the Illuminati’ and his wonderfully bright ‘eulogy’ for RAW, was a heart thumping highlight of the evening in London, listening to Alan’s Northern accent made me feel at home and really proud to be British, and to be honest I don’t often get patriotic feelings like that. A propa warrior mystic Midlands monk, I rekon. He performance was alike RAW performing 'cameo' in the Black Mass scene of the Illuminatus the stage performance in Liverpool, directed by Ken Campbell 31 years previous.

And with the added ambiance of the occasion (that of the passing of Robert Anton Wilson) Alan really put five cherries on top of the Escher cake, his first words from Masks included “A watchmaker in Amsterdam...” The following morning, as I said, I flew to Amsterdam and the 'Jam in the Dam' festival to meet with the band Galactic from New Orleans.

And now for something a little different...

PART II Jung’s Dream Revisited.

A constellation of synchronicities surround a dream that Carl Jung had, twas based in Liverpool. A dream that led to Robert Anton Wilson visiting Liverpool and Ken Campbell producing the Illuminatus Stage paly and, Bill Drummond coming into orbit with the Northern renaissance, but not in that order.

John Lennon and the Beatles first performed yellow Submarine at the Cavern, also on Mathew street, Liverpool, and Jung died on the day it opened on June 6th, 1961. Please note Jung visited Lucia Joyce in Northhampton and Jung prescribed James Joyce's Finnegans Wake to the Western World as good medicine. Alan Moore writes about Lucia Joyce and the Northhampton 'Intersection points' and 'syncro-mesh'.

As a student of synchronicity, by way of RAW, best explicated in his book ‘Coincidance: A head test’ I'm somewhat familiar with this synchromesh around Carl Jung and his Liverpool based dream. And was happy when Ken Campbell reignited my interest when describing the events at the ‘Coldcut and Mixmaster Morris Tribute to RAW’ held in the Royal Festival Hall London.

Three years after that memorable occasion I have been steered back to Jung’s dream, partly due to the writing of my own dream book ‘Shannanigums Wave’ over those three years, and my continual reading and re-reading of RAW, James Joyce, my personal favourite writers whom I feel wonderfully complement one-another.

The opportunity to present my independent research in this area has arisen due to Evolver and the ‘Dream’ theme of the planned April 21st ‘Evolver Spore’ or (art and edutainment salon). I hope that in combining a mixture of RAW inspired dream content based upon a Jungian’ framework, and with a plash’ of Joyce thrown in I can capture the ‘reality’ of some dreams, and provide sharable tools for others to interpret their dreams and dream-states, or those of others.

The future congress of like-minded ‘dream’ evolvers looks to create an environment where dreams and thoughts about dreams can be shared and openly discussed. My idea for a ‘Jung’s dream’ spore here in Amsterdam is only my first thought on the matter, and I hope to share the available time and resources available so that everyone has an opportunity to interact with the group if they wish. My choice of a RAW inspired glossing of the event reflects my affiliations with the Maybelogic Academy, something else I would encourage people to bring any questions or queries about to the spore.

Part 2 has been a graffiti artist since the late eighties, in particular as part of the Iconoclast Movement. He was one of the pioneers of a more figurative, hyper-real style of street art and, as a result, has an international reputation. Over the last few years he has also developed a considerable reputation for his music. In addition to his work for New Flesh he has released his own critically acclaimed instrumentals on singles and compilations such as "Deeper Concentration" and remixed a variety of artists including Saul Williams. He has also worked with Roots Manuva, co-producing "Uranium 235" for last years "Black Whole Styles". On "Equilibrium" Part 2's production runs up against the words of at least two world-class MCs:Toastie Tailor, MC, has worked with artists like DJ Vadim and Ice as well as New Flesh. For the new album he has developed a truly unique seven-in-one style recorded without overdubs or studio trickery. Other MCs just talk about being schizoid. As Toastie skips through his distinct personalities you can feel it. His live performances are set to destroy.

GIANT UNIMEMBRANE CONSPIRACY THEORY

FOUNDATIONS

The grouping of theories I call GUCT: GRAND UNIFIED CONSPIRACY THEORY, were first outlined in an essay that I started in mid 2007. Due to the outright pomp and bombast of such a grand unified theory I have been careful with my assertions and worked backwards from this initial vision to a intellectual field where I can break down the theory into corresponding categories and exhibit a theory of everything, practically nothing.

Voice 1: "Oh, wow, what is it about then?"
Steve: "Well, nothing really, well, naa' everything I can suppose."

Dragging fly agaric through the "Tale of the Tribe" with Robert Anton Wilson and associated territory reminds me that "Anyone who thinks they know what they're talking about is probably full of shit." This self-evident truth directly inspired me to a realization of the fact that mushrooms often grow on shit and so it follows that mushrooms may actually be full of shit, or at least they love bullshit, horseshit, batshit and all gods dung. They are associated with decomposition of matter, the alchemical transformation ubiquitous in planet earth eco-system. So now, gentle readers, I beg you to see my--Grand Unified Conspiracy Theory--as naturally full of shit. A Great big mountain sculpted out of a dung hill, with Scarab beetles Tip Tapping at my dream window pane.

I conducted experiential and experimental research with Dr. Robert Anton Wilson, Dr. John Lilly, Dr. Jack Sarfatti, and Saul Paul Sirag, who make up the foundation stones of GUCT. Combined with healthy mixture of artists and musicians who are also at the cutting edge of their respective fields - John Sinclair, Kai Eckhardt, CHU, Matt Black, Fareed Haque, Alan Hertz, Liam Hanrahan, Surinder Sandhu and many more. At the maybelogic academy I have studied with Eric Wagner, R.U Sirius, Erik Davis, Mark Pesce, Lon Milo Duquette, and literally hundreds of web critters, to continue some of the work that RAW started there.

In April 2000 A.D I went to America and met Dr. John Lilly and Robert Anton Wilson, Jack and Saul, who all had a big influence on my intellectual pursuits, fruits which have impinged throughout my nervous system and which show how I processed the information, and how individuals and communities can re-establish balance and harmony (preparations for the coincidence of contraries) with focus on Environmentalism, global ecology and information technology. I want to go green all the way which means green to signify legalization and decriminalization of Marijuana. I think that any ecological manifesto that does not address the "Illegality" of some plants is missing a huge elephant in the room to evolutionary biology.

A fly agaric 23 story was kindly published by Paul Krassner in his compendium of drug tales "Magic Mushrooms and other highs: From Toad Slime To Ecstasy", which adds some credibility to my hypothesis, I feel. The tale was titled 'as if true' and can be found using a simple google book search. Furthermore I'm credited as the associate producer of the documentary "MAYBELOGIC" about Dr. Robert Anton Wilson. How this all came about is intrinsic to the historical and social background to G.U.C.T and provides evidence for certain synchronistic events which I attempt to unravel and discover the meaning from rather than shelve as meaningless coincidences. Yes, human optimism seem a driving force for non-local synchronistoc phenomena.

The areas of science that I wish to add to the M-theory type physics, are 'open source ecology, mycoremediation and mycofiltration, open source medicine, neurological relativism, open source democracy, non-Euclidean politics, Open source 'everything' or 'everyware' to use the technical term. GUCT translates as getting connected with bio-logical networks and clear-up the communication channels, then, the re-greening of the planet will seem far more simple. But before any of this ecological work can get in full swing, the mushroom and its place in planetary biological networks and in planetary biological human neuro-networks must be investigated.

The war on some people who use some drugs must be stopped immediately, and alternative approaches to harm reduction and the responsible use of currently mass-prohibited substances implemented world wide. A tall order you may say, but one I am willing to entertain as a contribution to unified field theory, or a theory of everything.

Roughly, too much of anything will switch that thing into the opposite of what you first thought it to be. The crushing destiny of the reverse. This sounds Tsomewhat Daoist, Sufi, Joycean, Quantum Mechanical in that it concerns the 'resolution of opposites' something I also imagine to be at the very roots of human consciousness, as it I see it lies at the roots of coincidence, of digital binary information theory, genetics, neuro-linguistics, particle physics, Jungian' analysis and James Joyce's master unified conspiracy of world literature Finnegans Wake. And Pound's Cantos' no doubt.

STEREO

GUCT theory is accompanied by a rag-bag of my right brain writings, poetry, prose and synchronistic dreams, to help balance the analytical, linear essay type side of my left brain oriented textual communications.

Both highlighted with audio/video and still images' to get a healthy "Stereo" effect. The passages in Jeremy Narby's book about biological telepathic Internet (The Cosmic Serpent: DNA and the origins of human knowledge) that feature his scientific method of perceiving (Stereoscopically) is exactly what GUCT aim to achieve, Narby also highlights the gaping holes in scientific knowledge about so called "Junk DNA" and also "Dark Matter". MING.

GUCT simply puts forward the hypothesis that this is not "JUNK" at all at all, but vital 'Super Funk' to enable telepathic Internet emerge. 'Super Funk that has not turned itself "ON" yet. The same with dark matter, with instantaneous non-local correlation without connection, information transfer is possible over great great distances. An empty space or vacuum is precious to so define information, hence why for successful interactive processing in Telepathic Internet space/time, you should strive for a Taoist/Zen Buddhist type of mind/body/speech pattern with a direct and passionate appreciation for the woid beyond language.

Dali's paranoic method, Hakim Beys "T.A.Z" Poppers "Con". Leary's "Neurologic" Pounds ideogram, Joyce's 'Epiphany" Crowleys Magik, Wilson's "maybelogic", Mckenna's "Timewave" - these are all strung together in GUCT and so reflect off each other to create interesting constellations of meaning and a fantastic array of information rich symbol systems and textual communications. An encyclopedic "Think for yourself" grid, which i believe is harmonious with the mind of natures Internet, her computer network is already within these GUCT sub theories and ontological models. Bar Karl Popper you might call these characters witches, and their theories magic, which crowley of course has already considered adding his "K" to his contributions to telepathic Internet and communicating with the mind of nature and beyond.

Another remarkable advantage of GUCT over any other current theory as to what the hell is going on, is that it is as Objective a theory as you could ever get. Experimenting with your own nervous system is science, and the only instruments you can use are ultimately your own instruments, your thoughts, your imaginations and judgements.

The Magic Mushroom hypothesis that comes with global legalization of all entheogenic plants and Elixirs, leads to global telepathic Internet by default. In fact, so self evident is this revolution that the power hungry elite have conspired over centuries to "conceal" this doorway to self discovery and other delights of the mind, to the point when even without the sacred elixir itself, the mere thought of unrestricted poetic imagination and alternative thinking, free of church and state measure, are attacked, slandered and weeded out by the old straight laced dogs of strict law, monotheistic religion, limited academia and most authority structures around the planet.

ECOLOGY

Civilization and civilized? People and culture fuse on a higher level of abstraction and a new global perspective means a multitude of perspectives, a McLuhanesque 'global village' connecting felt points all over globe, the electric body of mankind. I feel that Assimilation with the Taoist Internet will not be possible with ignorance and chauvinism toward animal and plant sentience. This does not mean that you must be vegetarian, but just that you can humble yourself to the wisdom contained within all things and stuff, everyware connected.

The telepathic Internet depends upon you tuning into the networks and pre-existing bio-logical sensory apparatus distributed throughout the worlds flora. The air is already infested with Webnet-space. I would argue "time" too is already infested by global Internet, or the means to communicate audio/visually in real time from anywhere on earth. Which might not be technically true, but a server can be deployed to even the most inhospitable regions of earth with little trouble in 2010.

Do you want to be "ON" all the time, "ON" in all that space? I'll by pass these already commented upon politics of Internet in favor of biological mycoremediation that is always "ON". In favor of what Internet may mean to ecology and therefore the plant, human, fungal and animal kingdoms together. I'm looking at biological networks that are already working with invisible inter-networks, and seem to have been for millions of years, Interneting away, but without all the commotion and hardware.

Nature is always "ON". She is always processing, transforming and broadcasting. The fungus and the ants are tuned into her forrest Internet server, in this model. To then distinguish between mankind and nature and our multiple - servers - might help us understand the Tao. We have a similar interfacing process between mankind and nature that the co-creators of telepathic Internet 2012 might require to begin interfacing within multiple dimensions, species and with forces/servers of nature.

FINNEGANS WAKE

The mastwork 'Finnegans Wake' by James Joyce rovides a grand encyclopedia of this semantic-like web interfacing using a textual structure, while also operating outside of text and off the page, letters come floating off the wall and in through the skull, bouncing off of adverts, exotic furniture, pub room banter and sub-atomic systems. F.W produces magical 'coincidences' or happy accidents in the external-universe of the reader, the book has grown minded over time and "biological" entities or trans-time interfacing forces have recirculated themselves into the fabric of waking reality to produce the greatest consiracy of literature ever made, next to Pound's Cantos.

Joycean synchrnocities specialize in communication and telepathic Internet of the future, spread between biological, logical and dream-logical forces, like entheogens that can disrupt the deep synchro-net, Joyce found a way to activate synethesia at a great distance and over great timespans using a new timespcae binding poetry-language. The words to not contain psychoactive chemicals, but they behave and communicate in a psychoactive-like way, as if they do, when interacting with a human nervous system. Invisible, telepathic Internet servers, chemical servers, info-ghosts. They seem to be very ancient, and likely extraterrestrial in their origin.

ECONOMICS

GUCT is an anarchist economic theory too, by implication, it provides a working model for the most efficient strategy for waste management on planet earth.

I relate the decomposing fungus to DEPRECIATING currency, as described by poet Ezra Pound, Silvio Gessel and Major C.H Douglas, and RAW. Hemp script and mushroom script are terms I use to describe this more natural economic order where my hierarchy of values puts the Earth First, economic systems in sync with earths seasons?

Internet 2.0 and "Wireless Internet" are of great interest to the mushroom species, I would say, humans are breaking through into their world of invisible biological webs of connectivity. The Gaian Matrix is the realm of the mycelium mushroom entity, its doors are flung open by chemical Internet or computers you upload on your tongue.

Timothy Leary, Terence Mckenna, James Joyce, Philip K. Dick and RAW are all godfathers of my model of GUCT and Telepathic Internet, as I try to describe it here. These are the equivalent of Einstein, Da Vinci, Gallaleo, Socrates. These minds have gifted us with highlights from history, carefully wrestling with objectivity and conducting the best scientific research and methodology available to them. With a very refreshing optimism, rebelliousness and humor, and encouragement to try new things, and not be afraid of multidisciplinary study.

ONTOLOGICAL BIOLOGY

GUCT is a species of Gorilla "TAZ" Ontology, or I like to think of it that way. Mushrooms are my chosen biological model of the human social 'temporary autonomous zone'. With an underground mycelium network and a temporary sprouting broadcasting antenna, then neatly disappearing back to earth by self-sustainably decomposing and like an assassin transforming superfluous discharge with it, moving the energy cycle around, back to the realm of tiny cellular mycelium and the world of micro organisms, amino acids, and the assimilation into other network fields of evolutionary biology.

Maybe a drifting spore-cloud navigate using "Morphogenetic fields." Mycelium and Mushrooms are massive underground cogs within wheels within orbits of planet Earth's natural waste management and recycling program. Mushrooms should be awarded our closer attention for their contributions to the annual upkeep of planet earth. Do alphabetical mediated symbol system have real nutrients, real chemicals and real connectivity?

We are all connected, that's the theme in a nutshell. And connected by both visible and invisible things, things that are everywhere and everything we perceive. But as interactive human processing functions using a standard - biological model - the human body-mind interactive nervous system, we have the same hard drives, or engines beneath our culturally, genetically, and morphically stylized personae.

We are in resonance with everything, the universe and all things that float about in mind. We share, and we play great artists, modifying our worlds to suit our growing personae and painting each and everything with our personal details. Driven to distinguish the difference in sameness of humanity, driven to develop shared symbol systems and shared light technology, identity, uniqueness, and new ways of looking at things.

As the lyrics to a classic rave anthem say "We live as one family". And something in common with humanitarians seems to be that they see all human suffering equally, and can somehow lower their own personae, like a radiant force field surrounding the individual, and let in signals from other human beings, and maybe from both the animal and plant kingdom's, to extend their connectivity around the entire planet to share the burden's of both physical and psychical phenomena.

And love energy can flow in a circuit, feeding the earth, and the human-body-mind conspiracy to live and share the experiences of living, and live as one family of connected individuals, self-owning ones. 50 trillion cells are us and we are communities for cells. Communicating skin, the boundary to hold our organs together and read the environment. We are a conspiracy of cell clusters, a secret society of molecules, a network of electrical switches, and much more.

HISTORICISM

GUCT eats authority, dissolves areas of control showing the infinite mycelium network infestation contained in every cultural history on earth. GUCT will overcome the hardest things by being one of the softest things, transparent, self replicating, connective.

In a historical sense James Joyce, Ezra Pound and Robert Anton Wilson each provided an intricately crafted "technique" in their works that GUCT has a number of romantic relationships with. Joyce said "History is the nightmare from which i am trying to awake"

GUCT aims to do to history what the 'Cantos and the 'Wake did. Blow it into smithereens and then re-assemble a new language from the wreakage, according to the most encyclopedic, pluralized and updated aradise of information available, in a fun way that destroys any single model forever, what actually happened and why it happened and who made it happen is a murk. Instead rainbows and rich textures weave wors into our daily experience, a phalanx of possibilities utilize magical thinking.

Using a hierarchy of values applied to all history to distill 'pivotal historic force fields' from different eras all mixed up into a big soup. Multi-cultural and multi-linguistic noodles. Epic, twisted, transtemporal and transpersonal.

SPACETIME BINDING

Mushrooms adapt through shared awareness and control of their environment, adaptation and energy transfer, chemical and biological. Animals adapt through their awareness and control of space, plus chemical. Humans adapt through their awareness and control of time, plus space, plus chemical awareness. Plants possess the power of energy-binding in Alfred Korzybki's terms, which is networking, growth and strategic organization. Animals and insects and fish possess the power of space-binding which is mobility and pre-determined planning, such as pack of chimp's strategic hunting technique's, animals also use some of the power of energy-binding.

Humans possess the unique quality of time-binding which can sometimes make meaningful understanding through being able to compare and conduct analysis using different exhibits from different times and understanding the both sides of the exhibits simultaneously, using suspended judgement. A great definition of humanity. "Time" brings with it the duality of self reference and consciousness. The narcissistic ego.

Humans utilize the power of space-binding and energy-binding like plants and animals. I see no reason preventing plants and animals then, at some "time" in the future, from being able to also process time-bind as humans do. I see this as a natural evolutionary process, somewhat seperate from biological humanity, like languages and viruses. This event is further prophecy of telepathic Internet, and some Dolphin's and some chimps have already accomplished time-binding, I feel, but it seems that their time is so old compared with our own that we are not intelligent enough, yet to communicate fully with their highly complex language. GUCT requires humanity pull down thy vanity, and peel back the ignorance of being to discover a Unity of being.

GENETICS

Rather than the magic mushroom or fungus as the biological evidence for GUCT, found in nature, it is substituted for the common fly here. Flies are much like rats and mice, and humans, and have caught the sore end of the human scientific revolution, tested upon repeatedly without any concerns for fair treatment or well being. GUCT opens up the insect-net by recruiting another creature ubiquitous to human civilization that is in a position to help implement telepathic Internet. If each and every fly became a web server in some sense we would instantly have a chaotic resilient global network of communication.

The flies help to illustrate that humans did all these incredibly cruel experiments on themselves, in the future, which they actually physically have done throughout time as forms of torture and so called scientific experiment, but nothing of the sort, most recently in Guantanimo bay security prison we have seen evidence of this, also in concentration camps and government run psyc-warfare operations unleashed upon mental patients, as expendible as insects to the twisted religious political maniacs of history.

The common friut fly is the major contributor to our knowledge of genetics, every scientist will agree to this, but when confronted with the remarkable evidence that shows the symbiotic relationship between flies and fly agaric mushrooms many new scientists throw their hands in the air.

GUCT implies evolution through inebriation, and so genetic mutation and the forces that drive genetic diversity are self evident in the relationship between flies and fly agaric mushrooms. Once again you only take one step from the Telepathic Interneting mushroom to the telepathic Interneting human via the fly. That flies then were used as an insect kind of "guinea pig" used to develop and exploit our human new magical genetic sciences and all of our modern day genetic modification technology which is a multi trillion dollar industry world wide, is again, i propose all orchestrated and already assimilated into mushrooming intelligence, biological RNA DNA networks, in harmony with natures GUCT.

GUCT and worldwide entheogenic liberation contains a framework lattice mechanism for 'paradise engineering'. Fully compatible with invisible communication, rewritable civilization with get the new options of remixing the genome, redesigning the global ecosystem, extending the prospect of paradise-engineering to the rest of the living world. But who can write paradise, or paint it?

Turning onto Telepathic Internet and the paradise engineering channels or portals. I present the hyothesis that some Entheogenic mushrooms have been biologically Inter-neting for ten's of millions of years and they will begin to do it again when the cosmic "genetic" trigger mechanism decides to 'set off' mutating thought makers on a journey to galactic central. (wherever that is?) Which of course is not really central as space/time and the universe can have no center since Giordano Bruno. Today only a tiny fraction of the worlds drug cults function as they once did thousands of years ago, most are gathered in a region of the world that is undergoing a radical and destructive period, the great rain forests of the South America. In Science Fiction and some oriental poetry I noticed a similar spirit of non-aristotelian "languaging" systems of magic, focusing around form, image (symbolic associations) and their combined inter-relationships with other biological "systems", "fields" or "Temporary Autonomous Zones" of evolutionary probability, the natural bioshere. No conservative Illuminati or secret society can withstand the fact that when everything is connected power disappear's into the decentralized field. I perceive the rise of the after-fungus future machines, the largest super-organism known on planet earth, with single entities weighing more than a whale they're spore's have an organic electron density unparalleled anywhere in the natural world. They can decompose some of the most powerful toxic substances known to mankind and make up the most devastating bio-weapons known to mankind.

But like all questions about getting beyond language, consciousness and unconsciousness, mind and knowledge - you have to come back to the symbol & word, otherwise you become another voice shouting in the street, which is something I respect and admire, but shouting that I think might be made more useful by turning the language into an essay "Given away" in the streets and on the WWW.

By harpooning the language and history of mankind, or rather your own interpretation of it, and wrestling with the paradoxes and fuzzy areas until you can communicate better. The more words you have, the more ideas and languages you have access to the better your chances of propagation and survival on Internet, this also applies to telepathic Internet, but remember that every language encyclopedia, dictionary, speech tool and translation device currently available on regular Internet will be available somewhere with new telepathic Internet.

Terence Mckenna often used the cute term "Forrest Television" and I would like the vision of "Telepathic Internet" to be called "Forrest Television" because of the linguistic root connection implied between mankind and the mind of nature. I hold the idea that the language you use directly influences and shapes the reality that you then perceive, an idea attributable to RAW, McLuhan, Korzybski, and Bucky Fuller; central figures to GUCT.

Biological Evolutionary Epistemology combined with a mycological gloss - a trawling through mushroom etymologies and linguistic origins - results in another strong scientific and philosophical case for GUCT. The spores and mycelium are spread through the skin of planet earth, like bits of information, and genes of information and memes of information, the words and symbals for them are also spread throughout the human language networks.

Neolithic people, Mesopotamians, Ancient Egyptian cultures, Ancient Celtic people, Ancient Chinese peoples all had a reverence for mushrooms and they are included as a food, as medicine and ian ntegral part of their historical relationship between mankind and nature.

Dr. Wilson reached me through his books at the relatively early age of twenty, alerting me to the practical benefits of writing down dreams and synchronicities.

I attribute my early independent consciousness research to Dr. Wilson and his book 'Cosmic Trigger' in particular combined with my will to try to contact some of the people from that book itself and share my findings with my friends, family and local community, my will in 1998.

During the late 1990's most of my friends were without Internet access and only small bands of 'turned on artists, musicians and trippers' could verify the kinds of surrealist signals I detected in Bob's writing. Just what the Doctor ordered for a young twenty something walking the labyrinth of altered estates of consciousness in an altering and somewhat faultering social state. Around the Black Country area of the U.K.

My own wildest dreams being enacted out by others who I considered my contemporaries in my loved-up state of mind.

Fuelled by Bob's books and some good acid and in purchasing a book titled "Secret Chamber' by Robert Bauval on the day it was published in the UK, I set my sights on alerting the world to a probable Illuminati coup' on the Millennium point, a congress of capitalists interested in Egyptology, Freemasonry, the Skull And Bones society, CFR, IMF, UFO's, CIA, and the usual list of suspects this work grabbed me by the balls in 1999 and threw me up against the wall, mixing in Orion correlation theory I was sold, and clutching my RAW books I flipped back and forth through the pages looking for the millennium conspiracy, but, no luck, rather I saw evidence that you often find what your looking for.

Secret Chamber went on to the best seller list in the new age conspiracy book-market, and is the book that led me to the 'Stargate Conspiracy' by Lynn Picknett and Clive Prince, a book, in turn that I gave to Dr. Wilson in Palm Springs where he read some of it, even adding some critical commentary on occasion when asked by friends "what are you reading Bob?"

BOB touches on the characters and the cycling states of being, and of the forces and the shadowy agencies mentioned in Bauval's book. The Egyptian gods are a recurring theme within 'Cosmic Trigger', but there presented with Crowley's magickal glossing and invoked symbolically and textually into his own personal psychological scientific research, way beyond Bauval's at-arms-length research into these Egyptian dieties, in my opionion.

Careful focus and balanced attention to every sentence concerning the Goddesses' and the Gods became clear to me, at that time, his awareness of the socio-religio control mechanisms and 'shared intolerance' demonstrated by organized religions around the world today, and, the typically male dominated, patriot armoured--little men--that lead nations into illegal wars for dogma. A despertae lack of proper communication and a scientific research based, new hierarchy of humanitarian values. Make it new.

SCI ASPECTS OF H A L by STEVEFLY

The fly Agaric fungus, known widely throughout world history and culture, is a species of particular interest to me for several reasons that have impinged on my nervous system to inspire me to adopt the nick-name ‘fly agaric 23’ as a creative avatar, a supra-self mythman.

Evidence that I feel strongly that the ‘fly agaric’ or 'Amanita Muscaria' holds special significance, in the sense that I propagated the meme in the fastest and most efficient way I could imagine at that time, adopting the thing of interest as a nick-name where Steven Pratt' fused with ‘fly agaric’ and the positive attributes I perceive of ‘fly agaric’, chemical, mythological, biological and neuro-linguistic. But I picked the name without having read any of the 'fly agaric' literature, so I hope not imply I have been plotting this adventure in dualism. My hope is to expose the 'meaningful coincidences' from the events of the last 13 years or so.

Steven James Pratt vs. Fly Agaric 23 is my exegesis on these positive attributes and the results of my Thirteen year experimental research as a drummer, DJ and writer. As you can already tell, I am writing my own autobiography and writing about oneself is never really fun, and brings u many challenges, but I find these the heart of getting around the writers block, towards a freedom of expression.

Fly by Name Game by nature?
Based upon some similar social and psychological influences that move some popular entertainers to change their name, maybe for the purpose of attaining better viral ‘meme’ infection rate? I went a step further and chose a word used to denote a particular species of fungus that is the subject of an impressive body of worldwide scientific research, but also, I discovered is the subject of secretive Military experiments, witchcraft and death-cults, which of course appealed to a teenager during his first encounters with psychedelic drugs, jazz and beat poetry. Plus, Amanita Muscaria comes up five times when searched in the 'Illuminatus Trilogy! by Shea and Wilson.

I added the 23’ to the fly agaric for cabalistic reason, when I discovered that my birth date 15/04/76 equals twenty three when taken as single digits, as does the year 1976, a stunning discovery to me at that time, around 1996.

I was pulled into the ’23 Enigma’ forever. And Amanita Muscaria is the 24th entry to the index at the back of Cosmic Trigger! I write elsewhere about RAW’s influences, but here I wish to add that Terence Mckenna and Timothy Leary were also an large influence on my decision to adopt the ‘fly agaric 23’ avatar, plus, my friends around me at that time who adopted nick-names and supra-selves in the name of Art and social change! This is basically a tale about a nick-name that stuck and then struck.

RAW & Fly Amanitanatus:
Around 1996 I had not read any of the following scholars listed in the context of what I now call ‘Fly Agaric Studies’. I formulated the hypothesis that the fly agaric mushroom might be a thorn in the side of worlds monotheistic religion's and the monsters who rage war on some people who use some drugs around the world. I was in search of the sacred.

Amanita is dubbed by Wilson on page 147 of Cosmic Trigger “ the most widely used sacred drug in the Old World” a biological psychoactive drug entity that I figured, in my milly mindedness' fitted perfectly with my musical ambitions, creating grooves for the turned on cats, underground, alternative, seductive and psychedelic all-at-once, with a nick name “fly” already in use, the addition of the Agaric 23 was a simple way to fix my new avatar into my social network at that time, soon after ‘fly agaric 23’ would manifest on dj event flyers, mix-tapes, posters and even albums, such as the 'Big Dada records' 1999 release: Equalibrium, by New Flesh For Old, on a track titled 'Quantum Mechanix.'

During the decade of the naughties I have purposefully sourced out and read roughly three quarters of the above titles, plus many other related works in the field of mycology, psychedelic studies, and in particular ‘Fly Amanita' material: neuro-chemical, alchemical, mythological, botanical, paranormal, etymological, everything and anything I could find, some of which turned-up for me in the strangest of places. Most titles have been more widely available recently due to the sharing power of Internet.

LPS KEYS TOO by STEVEFLY

Fly hope to unify the unique symbiotic and etymological cross-roads, observable in nature, in ancient literature, fairy lore, medical journals, species taxonomy records, etc., of the 'Amanita Muscaria' (the red and white spotted fly agaric), flies' (drosophilia melanogaster), toads and mushroom munching human Apes. Fly licks some sap of evolutionary epistemology, Finnegans Wake by James Joyce, poetry, neuro-logical relativism, Constructivist Epistemology and the questions of consciousness, synchronicity, ESP, and digests material directly associated with RAW’s interests such as the fallibility of the human nervous system, social philosophy, together with the defining ingredient of humanitas, and the multiculture of the global village, on the tongue.

I was so enthralled by the power of RAW’s optimistic brain food that I also became really high and optimistic and due to the lack of Robert Anton Wilson media in my immediate environment I figured that I should make a journey to go and make some. Why not?

For me the great dream of an alternative drug policy to prohibition and a responsible decriminalization method, at least concerning Marijuana, seemed just around the corner. The IRA had stopped their bombing campaign, and the war in Bosnia cleared up pretty fast. Consciousness became the great frontier once more, art and culture made leaps and bounds in a matter of months, 1996-200, telecommunications changed everything for us, the global village was waking up at the Millennium.

New and encouraging scientific study’s were being published around the world, and Millions joined in efforts directed at letting their governments know that in the case of Marijuana, millions of smoke it often and you cannot stop us all or jail us all. And, 'why not save a lot of money, time, effort, and human humiliation and change the damn failed prohibition model--Lawmakers--please, consider adopting a new model based on the new research and latest studies from around the world, please adopt a responsible global drug policy that puts human lives and harm-reduction at the top of its priority list so that we can define humanity more clearly. Most Cannabis users and psychedelic users I have met have a similar humanitarian streak that can be distinguished from Alchohol and Cocaine users, who, from my experience often exhibit the intolarence of strong patriotism and small town mentality.

In my naive optimism I thought that simply communicating the great scientific research from the likes of Robert Anton Wilson, Tim' Leary, Mckenna, Lilly and others would be sufficient to influence policy, or at least help them formulate good questions and have some good debate. Unbridled optimism was the order of the day, and I thought I knew what needed to be done, fly agaric was on a mission.

The conference in Santa Fe turned up a number of meaningful coincidences' and remarkable meetings that set me on the trajectory to spending almost five years in the United States, meeting and studying with RAW and basically, living out an American dream so full of synchronicity and remarkable meetings that I suspect many will question my claim that it was an 'unplanned trip' to and around about the United Snakes.

The first major coincidence I was confronted with in Santa Fe was my meeting of two young pot smoking, John Lilly and Robert Anton Wilson fans who also shared my birthday, April 15th.

I mention that they were John Lilly fans because they had a copy of the rare and out of print “Programming and Metaprogramming the Human Bio-computer” with them, that they were keen to share with me at their hotel room, little did he know that only two weeks later I would be meeting with Dr. Lilly face to face and working as a volunteer at a week-long symposium held in his honour called “Gilding The Lilly”, and that to my astonishment featured Jack Sarfatti, Saul Paul Sirag, scientists I was loosely familiar with from the writings of RAW' himself.

The second meaningful coincidence that struck me on my birthday, in Santa Fe, was realized when the sad announcement was made that Robert was ill and could not make it to the event due to his deteriorating health. It was at this moment, in a flash, while I was receiving a round of sympathetic applause from six-hundred or so new age witches and war-locks for travelling so far from Birmingham to the conference, that I recalled a dream I had had roughly 6 months previously in which I was sitting in my ex-college mobile classroom awaiting RAW, a class of us, excited and waiting for him to arrive, but of course in my dream RAW never arrived.

I have the dream in my notebooks that will soon be available along with this text, to show just one of the corresponding events between my inner-space and outer-reality. But I was not so innocently just bumping into synchronicity now, I was seeking it somewhat, looking for adventure, experimenting with visualization, seeing new connections between new things.

This positive worldview certainly churned up some interesting results in my realm-time experienced existential reality, characters from Cosmic Trigger were showing up in the flesh, and the author himself was right around the corner, no, here, right where you are sitting now. In fact.

Within 2 months of living in Berkeley California I was plugged into a network of characters that already seemed impossible to dream up, a real Philip K. Dick plot, and this was made possible by the wonderful close friends of mine who temporarily adopted me in and enabled me to stay in the bay area. To drop names not bombs heres a few I had shared space with in S.F: Dennis Mckenna, Mark Pesce, Erik Davis, Bruce Sterling, Michio Kaku, Ralph Abraham, Edgar Mitchell, and many more of that cutting edge techno-shamanistic tribe that already resonated with ‘fly agaric’ on some levels.

Most of these remarkable meetings were made possible by my loose affiliation with the audio-archivist organization called soundphotosynthesis, and, as a volunteer I was fortunate to meet a colorful array of scientists, artists, musicians and kind friends at the events I worked at. I worked on editing audio/video material from the Sound Photo Archive shortly after I returned to San Francisco in December 2000.

Maybe I was naive to be hanging around with a bohemian group of scientists and intellectuals flaunting my music, asking shallow questions hacked out of something I read, but, I made incredible friends and had many priceless adventures through this synchro 'net-mesh' on the edge of a paradigm shift lifted out from a page of Cosmic Trigger IV.

The journeyman returned to the UK in July 2000 with a hell of a tale to tell, and with a heedfull' of new ideas and new characters to include in my new wish list of human's capable of turning the world on, and making sense of a paradigm shift sweeping upon us all, or something high flying and important like that.

One drizzly day in setember I was checking my email at the local library and, to my astonishment I had a note from the organizers of the Prophets Conference asking me if I would like to join RAW at the up-coming con/ to be held in Palm Springs, due to the fact that Bob now required a care-giver due to him being confined to a wheel chair.

I remember a huge smile striking my face, somehow in the relatively short period of approx. 5 years since I first encountered his work I had the rare chance to meet and probably hang with someone who I regarded as the smartest guy on the planet, and the greatest hope for all-humanity to read and wise up to. 2000 A.D and the global village was awakening.

When my air ticket to Chicago arrived in the mail I was dazzled to read: flight number 'AA23' and promptly flashed it to Richard Metzger, Brian Jones and Bob in his hotel room on the evening we all got high together in Palm Srings.

Bright Knife-Blade-Voice
Without any planned accomadation in Palm Springs I simply walked out the airport with my bags, and explored the strange looking city, roamed around, ate a cheese bagel, and roamed some more.

After shopping at a small store for bread and cream cheese I found myself half a mile from the store, walking up a long Palm Springs boulevard to discover I did not have a knife or tool to slice bread or spread cream cheese. Moments after I realized this fact, walking up a long concrete path flanked by neat spiky green grass, something caught the corner of my right eye, glistening in the sunlight, I looked and to my astonishment spotted a stainless steel knife sticking out from the grassy knowl.

Hesitating I finally plucked the knife from the grass, wiped it clean on my jeans and carried on walking while enjoying my cream-cheese roll in some style. I hereby swear this tale is true, and this has me baffled to this day.

I met Surinder Sandhue on a council led music class for the unemployed held in Dudley around 1997. After more than 2 years of collaboration outside of the class I manufactured 200 ten inch vinyl records featuring 3 tracks: SUPERSTRING THEORY movement one', and 'movement two' and 'Ganga Puja'.

GANGA PUJA: FIBONACCII PROJECT (SECRET CHAMBER ARKESTRA) by STEVEFLY

Terence Mckenna, Robert Anton Wilson, Timothy Leary, Hakim Bey, Ken Kessey and William S. Burroughs were the authors I was tripping with in the late 1990's, plus Michio Kaku whose 1994 book "Hyperspace" influenced me to take on 'super-string theory' as a new piece of additional data in my theory of 'synchronicity'.

In the context of the chapter from Cosmic Trigger titled: ERP and BELL's Theorem, I, in my tiny mind, thought I might help give creedence to RAW's multi-world model's and methodological multi-verse theory, communicated in various stylistic textual methodologies, or books you might say. You can see the photographs included in this book, of the SUPERSTRING THEORY vinyl disks that I created to honour this strong intuition.

Jumping forward a few years, I was sitting at a lecture held in San Francisco (actually, due to RAW not showing in Santa Fe' at the Prophets Conference 14-16 April 2000 A.D., I decided to take the grey-dog up to San Francisco where some kind folks I met had invited me to stay with them there, more adventurous than simply catching my flight home) where Saul Paul Sirag was presenting information based upon mathematician G. Spencer Brown and the "Laws Of Form". I spoke with Saul briefly, and with Jack Sarfatti who I had had some previous contact through email, and who I was somewhat familiar with from reading Quantum Psychology, The Illuminati Papers and Cosmic Trigger.

Late May 2000 A.D, I met an incredible Jazz bass player at yet another conference called "PLANETWORKERS", who synchronistically was playing a show that week with a Berkeley based pianist called Jack Perla, Jack had recently collaborated with my musical buddy from Wolverhampton Surinder, along with another Berkeley based saxophone and clarinet player called George Brooks. I was aware of these characters too, from hanging out in Surinder's studio (98-2000) and felt a strange loop kick in while chatting with Kai.

Due to this notable synchronicity, I got the crazy notion to produce a collaborative project between Jack Perla the pianist and Jack Sarfatti the post-quantum physicist. What might have been something I thought up using my turntables and minidisc recorder rig six months ago had manifested itself as a strong physical collaborative possibility in existensial spacetime. Wow.

I arranged a meeting between the three of us at a Cafe' in Northbeach and It turned out not to have lead to any collaborative musical recordings between us, but an interview at Jack's apartment with Saul Paul Sirag himself, that I have only recently transcribed and hyperlinked, here. Maybe I will remix some of Jack Perla's Piano and Jack Sarfatti's post-quantum lecture material together someday?

The Net
So I seemed to have physically entered Doctor John Lilly's "Network", as described by RAW in Cosmic Trigger, and what's remarkable is that I was somewhat aware of this network, in as much as I was aware that John Lilly appears throughout the book that had pulled me into this synchro-mesh. Now, I thought, I have some evidence and some proof. I can bring back the knowledge gained from some of the architect's of that book and begin to show and share some of the scientific principles contained within.

This combination of music and science, and open psychedelic studies was a huge influence on me and helped me realize a better society, generally, where the Police were pretty tolerant of Marijuana smoking, and art and artists were out on the streets and in the parks, out among the community. I could sense the torsion field carved by the 1960's cultural explosion.

The local business model and economy were seemingly centered around creative industries, although unbeknownst to me I was in San Francisco on the cusp of the dot com crash. But to me the telecommunication infrastructure was 20 years ahead of what I knew growing up in the black country and the crooked intolerant' Dudley council.

After being hired as DJ for a week at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, I decided to stay on in NOLA, being that I had finally met back up with my two friends from Sante Fe' 3 years later, who I shared my birthday with.

I was in full support and total Ecstasy of Ben's idea to take a road trip in his SUV all the way to Santa Cruz where Bob was guest of honor at the premier of the documentary movie MAYBELOGIC: THE LIVES AND IDEAS OF ROBERT ANTON WILSON. With associate producer credits generously given to 'fly agaric 23'.

The movie was to open on the 23rd of July, 2003, and we had to go. Besides finding a hot stash of RAW titles on the road and tripping balls in the Moab desert, Las Vegas Casino's and beyond, one memorable and remarkable synchronistic intersection point stands out for me.

While on the road with Ben we had a stash of CD's and were listening to the radio infrequently, but on one occasion we did listen to the radio while it played a Bob Marley and The Wailers song, we listened to it because we had just been playing a Bob Marley Album on CD and we had just reached the west most tip of San Francisco, literally on the beach after travelling for eight days from way down in Louisiana.

When the classic song ended we were both shocked to hear the radio presenter dedicate the Wailer's song to the huge whale that had washed up on the same beach that we parked at, in fact, the huge headless whale corpse was only roughly five hundred meters from us. This must have been around July 21st 2003 I believe.

Ben and I made it to the movie premier and were fortunate to bump into bob making an exit out of the back door to the theatre. We were taking a reefer break and Ben asked him some question that I now forget, and Bob answered with a few words climbing into the old black Jaguar that then sped off into the Santa Cruz night.

From Toad Slime To Ectasy
Since meeting for dinner with RAW, Nancy and Paul Krassner at the Prophets Con. Palm Springs I loosely kept in touch by email. One day in 2002 while I was working at the record Label Cosmic Flux Musiq based on Haight and Filmore street, San Francisco, I received email from Paul informing everyone he was compiling a book of 'anecdotal' drug tales and would be accepting submissions, so that night I worked on a very short story describing my first Psilocybin journey at age 16 and then sent it off the same week.

To my astonishment and gratitude to Paul the story was included in the book that was first published in 2003 by Ronin Press, but has since moved to 'ten speed press', with the title 'MAGIC MUSHROOMS AND OTHER HIGHS: FROM TOAD SLIME TO ECSTASY'. I was pretty surprised to find that Paul has used the 'fly agaric' infused reindeer piss, piss drinking shamans analogy, combined in close proximity with a joke about licking the top right hand corner of page 23, to get high loaded.

Graffiti artist CHU and I had arranged to record a happening at around 9.00 P.M, under the stourbridge viaduct with drums, shakers, voice-box and two recordings devices, a dictaphone and a minidisc. The results can be heard within the audio archive, here.

The amazing synchronicity that Chu and I were a part of that night on our way to the viaduct was the intersection of two double-dekker buses right in front of us, as we crossed the road. The bus that travels from Birmingham to Stourbridge is the number nine bus. Part of our subsequent adventures are partially chronicled at the godisturber web page.

Synchronic Wake
As I hope you have noticed by now I am leaning heavy on my experiences of synchronicity to pinpoint the dates and places upon my ten year journey. Combined with the process of tabulating my dream diaries and notebooks from over this period I aim to create a new digitally networked interface, whereby others can sift through the media I have correlated from my research and expereinces so far.

I hope that this process will keep within my philosophical outlook that recently gained traction from the combination of reading Joseph Campbell's book 'The Hero With A Thousand Faces, and watching the movie 'McLuahn's Wake' just a weeks after diving back into C.G. Jung's 'Mankind and His Symbols', in preparation for my own dream interpretations.

In writing this autobiographical account of my trip to the US I feel it necessary at this early stage to pay further tribute to Dr. Wilson and his work in progress 'the tale of the tribe' that features approx. thirteen characters that carry us through the ages of modern man into post modern, 21st century neurospace.

This network of characters and there ideas are therefore attractive for applying to many other areas of research, which for me has grown into an interactive novel-game called 'OUR HISTORYS BACK' but here I wish to turn the tribe on 'fly agaric' or rather some of the principles I have been expounding on so far, namely, epistemology, mythology, birth-death-rebirth cycles, synchronicity, symbiosis, etc,.

The recurring theme I see is the process of becoming over and over again, as consciousness maybe akin to a tape loop, recording and erasing and remembering somethings. In particular Bruno, Vico, Nietzsche, Yeats, Pound, Joyce and McLuhan can be somewhat generalized as having process oriented motions through their works, the the turning of a spiral-vortex of energy, accumulative, the living cosmos, the recorsi.

Philosofly & Finnegans Awake
Tens of Zillions of critters get high, fall down, sleep and wake up into nature, and this universal process of inebriation can be scientifically demonstrated as a chemical processes in the nervous system. Evolution through inebriation, may therefore imply chemical compounds found naturally abundant such as Peyote buttons, Psilocybin mushrooms, Cannabis, Amanita Caps, etc,. that contain the right chemical mixture and alchemical neurological harmony to bring about vivid highs, sleeps and wakes as we witness in every facet of life.

Lewis Carroll incorporated these chemical reactions into "Alice through the looking glass", utilizing a 'spacetime' morphing literary device, and he included the toadstool symbolism.

The awakening, uprising, resurrection, and coming again, commodius vicus orecirculation, epiphanies, comfortably communicate the "epiphany in synchronicity" I get when reading Joyce's 'Finnegans Wake'.

Magical resurrections can be witnessed, by the seeker in the process about which the Book lends it's title 'Finnegans Wake: an irish Ballad in which a fallen Tim Finnegan is presumed dead, but then springs back to life at his own wake, spirited up out of his coffin by some spilt elixer, song, dance and tales.

Drunken fruit flies, Drunken Amanita eaters and Tim Finnegan communicate my philosofly of evolution through inebriation, partly, and modified from the Lazarus hypothesis put forward by the Italian Botanist Giorgio Samorini.

Final thoughts upon final thoughts of a final (vinyl) theory
In a hazelnut shell, I figure the world is best described as language itself, to propose anything else other than language is romantic and sweet, but ultimately leads to confusion, paradox and terrible surprises of primal beauty.

Therefore my philosophy of Filosofly is what I do, I write and investigate the mythological and etymological pastures where Amanita Musicaria grows, with the added satisfaction of having a large body of academic works on the subject to construct my hypernetwork of connections.

My travels and tales reflect how I picked up some of these ideas and what I have done with them, my synthesis. I hope that others might use some of them, especially the synchroniticities and dreams' that have been somewhat out of my consious control and contain strange interference from an unknown organizing synergy. BOOK I. CHAPTER I.

Introduction:
All the innovative Graffiti art provides a testament to a collective Great British spirit of rebellion and revolt, that I heartily support and that I hope to romance here in these lines. I started writing out these ideas for the purpose of creating a book about CHU 51 and his Artwork, which alone requires a great deal of patience and meditation on my part, as I have come to see how writing about CHU is also writing about UK Graffiti and there are a lot of writers out there who also deserve a book, an essay or a blog post article about them by independent investigative journalists like myself, and friends of the artists, and to be shared among the community by the community.

Graffiti Art, Aerosol Art and Urban street, whatever you call it emerged--phoenix like--from the streets, to form a global village of new art perception and language manipulation, in urban cities across the world.

This artform suffers attacks upon it from various authorities, unlike any other, and who act upon the laws that determine Graffiti ART's "criminal damage" impact, in most but not all' cases and, furthermore, variousorganizations remove Urban Street ART on a regular basis creating a unique criminalized merry-go-around, a revolution that highlights the hypocrisy and sophisticated intolerance of modern lawyer run capitalist society, and the all out warfare on street culture icons, on urban artists generally. The global village calls forth Graffiti Art revolutions in the streets, new art for social change, art as a creativity medium for the newtechnological challenges to humanity and global culture.

Personally, I am fond of diverse types of art and culture, 'O Di Diversa Natura' as Giordano Bruno once wrote. Not just Graffiti art, but the culture that fosters it and that unique street level philosophy just appeals to my aesthetic, whever and whatever that is? I grew up during the emergence and mutation of Graffiti Art in the UK (1980's-90's) and feel fortunate to have had the rare chance to spend time with some of the UK's finest, before the Banksy boom, and I soon gathered a rough idea of what Graffiti culture was about: assimilating the corporate advertisement media and infecting the language structures of culture with a super surrealist virus, at it's best. Ugly tags and mindless vandalism at it's worst, and who's 'best' and who's 'worst' are we talking about anyhow? British Transport Police? Local council? Art Critic's guild?

After meeting some UK Graffiti writers, drinking tea, sharing a spliff or two and realizing they were mostly working class lads, I became fascinated with the idea of these warrior poets decorating the streets with wisdom, crushing wit and otherwise censored 'social commentary', and felt that indeed, a new language was being born, a new language culture was hacking the corporate media, that 'pych' virus, growing exponentially in the social sphere, and dragging it out onto the streets, beating it to pieces and lovingly resurrecting the word-image-message for us, the people who have to live in these advertisement parks throughout Britain.

Some writers stuck apart, with the flavour of discordianism and some other past attempts to organize by precise 'disorganization.' Organized Confusion? Others reformed under new names, new crewes, most moved to London. Simultaneously to this organized confusion of artists, huge corporations got fat on real capital in the swinging 1990's, moving in with the missing capital, and bought up a stack of talent, a rack of sneakers, and cranked out replicable fashion objects like all the other junk makers. And the movement went underground again, crewes splintered, letters cracked and bulged in all directions, occasional success stories, amidst the thought-police, the crime-watch-think and all the damned NEWSPEAK they made assimilation's with global village culture through the emerging decentralized--internet--idea infections.

At the same time a sudden influx of cheap imitations and watered down 'Graffiti Ideologies influenced' font styles, and a phalanx of trashy products from 'aftershave to 'breakfast cereal' were referencing the once underground 'Hip Hop and Graffiti culture' in particular (R.I.P). Everything suffered except the language virus of Graffiti itself that eats all: the referential questioning of grammar, rhetoric, logic, control, authority, Identity and signifying.

Graffiti artists rely on word of mouth and physical networks of friendships to get work done and invariably writing' and commentary on Graffiti in any general or regionally exclusive way can stifle the development of the global artists village. In some sense, only the language of aerosol Graffiti, its symbols, colors, size and impact, can describe what aerosol graffiti means. Many non-graffiti writers are set about describing a similar experience of being with justified words, poetry seems to have the closest fit with theartform, poetry, not rap, I think.

Graffiti culture and hip hop culture have been fattened for corporate snakes, bodysnatched, raped and beaten to death. I have watched the motherfucking snakes slither off with the very thing, or cultural artefact, that we have made, and neutralized it, mass produced it, and handed it to thepre-packed consumer, at half price. This kind of 'culture mill' often results in the degradation of the consumer as well as the product, as Mcluhan said 'the tools you use shape you, as you shape them' not to speak of the cultural conditions and challenges that fostered the new artistic breakthrough and new youth movement that went unseen, un-recorded. In science and technology I notice a similar pattern of cultural hijacking and technological piracy, always spearheaded by the biggest private market places, the richest markets and the most powerful market monopolists. One man's pirate maybe another man's king.

GRAFFITI ARTS AND CRAFTS.

In which i explore the role I perceive of the Graffiti artist in 2010 society, the art world vs. the art village, the street art world and the street art village. The invisible interior worlds of creative imagination.

A good artist will spell properly, have command of logic and grammar, will have good knowledge of languages, mathematics and geometry and how these things fit together to work on the people and the environment.

Symbols combine with the word meanings and are per-mutated to produce imagined auditory snapshots. Captured thoughts, reflected by the good Graffiti artist on the urban street canvas, immediately, where spelling and grammar are exploited 24-7 by the Global Capitalist Advertising Pirates. The new art helps the re-balancing of public thought spaces, in my opinion.

Balancing equations between adverts, between political propaganda, between real estate, and adding footnotes next to the footpaths so that some lucky critters maybe confronted and arrested by OrwellianNewspeak that has speech bubbles and helpful footnotes. Thought-crimes are committed and made flesh. A tit for tat poetry slam playing throughout various global media:TV, Billboards, Radio, Packaging, Newspapers.

A good Graffiti artist fulfills an important role in society as the defence early warning radar system. They can sniff out the bullshit in the language before the thing it refers to manifests itself. Sign and commercial code breaking. To remix the symbols and send them spitting back into the environment as messages, fair commentary,imagist poetry, hologramic prose and stunning visual expressions reaching beyond any textual language – therefore, the good Graffiti artist can show up the Global Corporate Advertising Industry.

Turn on CNN, or most TV news stations and get a dose of that meaningless, indeterminate dribble they spread, the board room executive sales virus, the news-speak of the modern corporate POP monster and his salesman. The great beast of the apocalypse is slayed on many street corners and on walls with an increasing ingenuity, a growing brevity and creative intelligence today in Britain, the America's and throughout Europe. The surveillance culture has made the artist smarter, fitter and made them better players of the game.

Aerosol Graffiti Art is launching a spear through the veil of Marketing language and the corporate codes of mass brain-washing and misinformation programing. Every city in the world has it’s Graffiti and history of writers. Reaching far back to the stone age and the cave dwellers, back to before civilization and cities and agriculture there were Graffiti artists communicating on the walls, drawing what they saw, interacting with mind and sharing messages with the others.Timebinding through artistic expression and representation.

I have noticed regional government failure in the UK, failure to notice local talent and nurture them, especially within the arts, combined with a nationwide criminal stereotype of the 'hooded aerosol villain' or vandal, this failure leads to a lowered possibility of getting paid work for one's art these days.

How can a Graffiti artist have a gallery show unless one partners with some sonsor, or accept a government grant maybe handed over by the same institutions that enforce the Graffiti abatement program and reinforce our cultural rations of Sugar, War-speak, Automobile-pimp, insurance-lies and banking business bullshit? It has always been hard for the artist, and Graffiti Art is the blues story of Hip Hop. Million's can sing of the Graffiti blues, sitting in a cell for learning to spell in public.

One option open to the up and coming artist, who happens by chance not to have been born into great wealth or into a geographical area with high employment for artists and the opportunity to pursue any cutting edge cultural activities, is to simply move location, go, go , go to where the action is and where the employment may exist, move to London, New York or Paris, the heart of Modern cultural policing and monopoly on what (is) hip. Closer to the source of the language of Graffiti, the city pulls in and push's out billions of symbols per second, some are captured on walls without borders.

Corporatism seems to be at the center of this phenomena of artist exile, as I view it, and accepting the ground rules of society without question often leads to apathy and the rise of totalitarian control while you were sleeping. This phenomena seems widespread around Great Britain and with the anti-Graffiti programs as a case in point I can see why. I feel saddened that communities that might benefit most from these artistic visions, village humour and tireless town promotion are purged of local talent, probably after they attain a certain threshold of popularity and cannot find the local support and are forced to move on out.

This artist in exile phenomena, seems a bit like what’s termed the 'Wimbledonization' of Great Britain and her entire world culture, by osmosis, whereby we often host the biggest global corporations without giving our own local players a competitive chance of competing on a fair and equal playing field. Consider the full resistance to Graffiti Art and Urban Street Art by the British Government and the puritanical mobs of cops contrasted with the history of UK Graffiti culture, the starving artists and they’re underground Olymic stamina.

The seeds of revolt are being nourished, and the Graffiti artists from one time or another are unified by their poetic interpretation of reality or their figuring out for themselves that language manipulates “reality” in different ways, and can modify your perceptions and the perceptions of others, at least temporarily, and taking the language-system into their own hands, writing hands, and translating some parts of it onto walls and buildings, re-creating “reality” in full colour pictographs, all in their own individual perceptions, not learnt in school, college or University but a new synthesis, a totality of these exeriences on the street itself.

Graffiti artists of no school or class but the chaos of the streets, or, organized confusion. Artists of a more discordian persuasion influence universe by striving for the original, always spontaneous, on high alert and prepared for co-operative partnerships with other language-systems and “reality-constructs”. Mobile artists continually revising updating and expanding the class of all scientifically meaningful statements available to us at this date, and some deliver the news painted in the streets five stories high!

ART DEAL?

Agents and Art Dealers exert an influence on the manufactured “realities” of the art world and have a certain monopoly of the languagestructure and the means to distribute it throughout the village, by using the same global corporate media enterprises that keep in place the consumer labyrinth we inhabit, albeit temporarily. Some have said that the ART world really consists of around 666 people, most of them in New York and this has been the scene for over the last 60 years approximately.

“ART theory, pure and simple, words on a page, literature undefiled by vision, flat, flatter, flattest, a vision invisible” Tom Wolfe writes in The Painted Word, hinting, in my opinion approx. that ART and the ART World and the public perception of these 'things' may have been hijacked by the multi-media corporations that reproduce THEORY in 'type', and manipulate neuro-Semantic highways along which the 'reality of language' and the 'language of reality' are transported.

Art can hope for no success unless 100 Million people “know what it is” and the process of defining “things” and their “meaning” by way of relationships is the heart and craft of the good Graffiti artist, andcrewe network, a lone assassin of knowledge working in the streets, but tuned into the village heart radio, working without sleep to wrestle the language of “reality” back from the greedy corporations and their ART world off-shoots back into the village milk float.

If money and status are influential in ART movements then such a movement might be distinguished from those which emerged from comparative poverty: low income areas with high crime rates and a hijacked community infrastructure.

Jacked by the RICH economy and the capitalist system of might makes right, a system in which the RICH have control and influence to get richer quicker. In the UK it was the invitation of what I view as the worst part of America, right into our village, our shops and our front living rooms, that helped me developed such a critical view of business and trade enterprises with the giant American companies.

Mcdonalds, KFC and Burger King are just the tip of the iceburg , beneath the surface Billions of Pounds are swapped for Dollars and real estate, our future land resources traded by millionaire's and their friends in Government, both national and local, whereby handing our culture over to the worst viral entities from the USA. Who's 'lovin' it now? But this 'pych' operation was simply assimilated by Graffiti ARtists and poets, more grist for the grind sir'.

Welcome to the market ART economy world of 'The Makers'. If the ART world turns out to be just another arm of the bourgeoisie 'makers', with it’s connected 'Agents, Dealers and promotional markets', then what can we ever know about ART? or art theory without actually experiencing it with our own neuro -semantic nervous system? Why then, is Graffiti Art illegal and criminalized by the United States and United Kingdom law makers, and most other National Governments? Money, control, paranoia, making our village pretty?

If only the artists and the public at large could interact and understand each other better, and using these new social network tools emerging like magic mushrooms. Artists are the antenna of the race, visual healers of social ills and cooperative language interpreters for us all. Street artists and street news journalists all-together, wrestling with the symbols, the rhetoric, the grammar that produce spontaneous feedback, but open-source and fair: thinking globally and acting locally. Always on' and in contact with the other writers faced with the same daily predicament and correlating group feedback into good research. The Global Village walls are now become writing tablets. Grammar, Rhetoric, logic?

RELATIVITY

Urban Graffiti artists and street culture at it’s most poetic dwells in the sewers of language and trash of our culture, with the flies, rats, pigeons and the plague, with Burroughs and Joyce and the French Symbolists--Graffiti artists--are like chameleon commando's that can survive on anything the city labyrinth leads them to: war, famine, pestilence, economic disaster, racism, abuse, celebrity culture, false flag terrorism anything you can imagine, brutal, bigoted and/or dogmatic as you can imagine, turned inside out, synthesized and reconstructed as art and poetry, leading us to a temorary salvation, at least.

Good Graffiti artists, in my estimation will find a way to amplify, nullify, beautify and fry-up these linguistic invaders from the grey board room, and will shake the language-structures out through a simple aerosol cap into 'illuminated epiphanies from the streets', radical new sign-age of the struggle to balance the equation by any means necessary, fingerprints of what democracy looks like. Struggle, synthesis, renewal. A unique illustration of the painted-word in the depraved streets of the modern Urban Warfare zones. Culture warfare and information warfare waged in fairness?

Good Street Graffiti has found a new way to gain agency to social change and it involves the manipulation of symbols and signs, image and casting the shadow of a new language into the “reality” construction process.

I think a pandemic of sane street Graffiti languages pose a threat to the centralized totalitarian monopoly on thought and, I that publicly repressed knowledge concerning the relationships between language and reality, and the high probability of an 'observer created universe' or perceived co-created “reality” constructed, and influenced by the sense impressions left by symbolic languages.

The coincidence of you being there and the Universe being there at the same time, or simply a sort of magical worldview where manipulation of language can effect “reality” and a view wherein everything counts and is connected, all is networked into a meaningful whole, a gestalt 360 panoramic.

Maybe the Gods of human conceptions are merely further symbolic inscriptions, scrawling attempts to grasp the ineffable angels, or exhaust fumes created from our co-created human experience of “things” and "motion in things", but sensed to be out there, beyond language or beyond human language developed thus far.

Urban Street Graffiti, for me, molds the keys to a revolution in the minds of the people where the centralized systems of control and coercion are short circuited and turned inside-out by non-violent means, adding beauty and alternative tribal 'meanings' to the Urban environment and bringing good news to the CCTV camp walls of Britain.

GRAFFITICK

The ruler oriented minority of publishers perish at the wall down the street my friend. Strict control over the press in the interest of the safety of the state has run it’s 400 year course, we are at the 'end of the word' in my humble opinion.

Maybe mass mediated alphabet cultures are literally turning insane, in part due to the lack of precise meanings, or precise distinguishing values between word/symbols and the “things” they represent. The words and symbols you use, write, speak and process, co-create, the “reality tunnel” that you experience, and Graffiti Art and Street Art and artists are dancing with these principles outside of the usual urban control parameters.

Linguistic and semantical review in the face of mass cultural implosion and apocalypse requires a moments contemplation...which positively results in meditation, analysis and scientific research into language mediated “reality” constructs.

I would imagine a big rush to implement these new findings into the public “meme-sphere”, to try to help those who may not have had a University education to recognize the “fnords” and to better distinguish between different value systems, humanistic and economic, and to better navigate through constellations of different meanings, thedamnbiguation of our times, readying the mind-body interface between the language virus and the human hardware for the big show down, or the big future in general. But no big rush to teach NLP to the kids, just the adults and CEO's. No rush to legalize Graffiti and acknowledge the primal symbolic features of human beings.

Good urban Graffiti artists are a glimmer of hope, as they hold the keys to make change in conformity with will and write out the equation concerning the pressing questions. What makes civilizations go insane, what (is) identity, society, ART and Reality doing, Postmodernism, multiculturalism, nouns, verbs andpreffix's?

TELE COMMUNE EQUATIONS

Communication between Graffiti writers, in the language of Graffiti, keeps their nervous systems tuned in with their surroundings, and local environment, and can lead them to study the human symbol systems and languages that they re-produce in their own street more closely, even scientifically sometimes, the rare times you get artists doing local socio-linguistic study and keeping notes, to enable the conversation to continue and stimulate new thought with these recorded artefacts.

The practical situation of painting in the street can cause friction and stress upon the individual writers, and the community, often amplified by the anti-graffiti police, whitewashed press, major media and art world boasters, all working to turn original street culture into a saleable readymade commodity' to replicate and mass produce, to mass distribute, and working at the ultra-mega massive scale: Universal, Sony, Disney,Pixar, EMI Time Warner etc., these pirates have held a massive advantage so far in the game, based on might makes right logic, and massive amounts of capital investment to back what they like, but the tides are turning and the BlackMagick of corporatism seems to be wearing off a little, consuming itself in the primal tribal fires rekindling in our community.

The capitalist game maybe loosing any scraps of meaning and sane purpose it may have held up until 2010, once more product and the consumer inter-twinned, but with the new interfaces of the WWW the balance seems to be returning somewhat to the individual artist eccentrically.

Good Graffiti Artists and sly advertising CEO’s and mafia run marketing executives are doing a similar process, after all, but at different levels of magnitude and under different social, economic and cultural conditions. They are manipulating language in conformity with will, with different instruments for their personal science/entertainment program and different survival parameters. And they share their artistic vision and social commentary. The art of sharing is the art of spreading your language.

Like the airy quality and concept of 'success' measured by the amount of meals one eats per day, contrasted with the number of Billion square feet in real estate a company may own, such as Tesco . A modern David and Goliath scenario, echoing the unbalanced problem with the centralized world economic platform, where the majority of people and made to feel powerless and insignificant against the multi national giants of culture, agriculture, banking, warfare and closed system curses, that magically somehow own the world, with the help of 900'000 lawyers, and anything that can be hijacked by a label, a category of a state. Language hijacked, but for a closed group of private individuals. The good Artist has always tried to share knowledge with others.

But optimistically speaking, a scenario dependent upon crooked language systems and exploited hypnosis techniques has it’s Achilles heel’, and will also boom and burst, hijacked by way of the swinging backdoor and inoculated by a more powerful andefective antidote in the forms of new perceptions and the emergence of new scientific and research based - new language - cultures! Graffiti tribes of free and uninhibited citizens of Universe.

Street Graffiti language, when charged with the highest possible meaning and spread as far and wide throughout every Urban environment on earth, can resist the thought police and advertising vultures that encircle the apocalyptic circus of the postmodern corporate controlledmediasphere .

Organize and do your homework, think for yourself, write questions to authority in pictures on your streets, our streets? why should we allow the corporations to invade our communities with their death trip, sex trip and tax trip slogans and to cast hypnotic spells that we are told are supposed to warn us, but, as I see them contain a stereotypical guilt technique developed from the government agencies, presented in Newspeak 2.0, leading to mass-confusion deployed upon our families, friends and loved ones. Fair play I spray!

I state that the culture wars are fought non-violently in the streets with revolutionary language, charged with maximum meaning and sincerity, deployed back into the hearts and minds of the people – fresh, spontaneous, creatively and beautifully, and in contrast to the dull black “newsmagick” spook-speak, currently oozing out from almost every consumer-able product, street corner, shop front, roadside and transport route.

Street artists are an antenna of the race, beaming out across the urban streets, and in Great Britain for roughly 25 years. Among the hundreds of unrecognized and under-acknowledged Street Graffiti artists, who in my humble opinion – taking into consideration the manic police tactics and government snooping used against them – deserve a huge congratulations in the shape of some funding and resources to continue to set up new Urban environments, to share dreams through paintings. And support for those that are not phased by the violent and sly attacks upon British youth culture, art, music and the freedom to share this art, and to explore one's own consciousness without getting banged up in jail.

Some Graffiti and some Hip Hop culture in Britain mutated into an early engine room for anarchy and 60's spirited counter-cultural ideals. Building a new culture within the shell of the old, together with the rise of the globalinternet , and the uprising of underground art and music seemed to be gathering force, infecting the others, everybody could now feel the 90’s cultural landscape changing as the new Millennium approached..

LEGOCY

The four magical weapons of Hip Hop culture: Breakdancing, DJ’ing, M.C’ing and Graffiti; were develpoed all-at-once around New York in the 1970's, and then spread to Britain; mixed in with TV shows like Dallas, 'Disco music and 'McDonalds during the 1980's, and although only a wee trickle back then, the few messages and signals that did get through began to take hold of some young artists and early pioneers of streetlanguaging.

Like the slow, awkward, half-assed move to digitize all music in Britain, leading to Apple’s quick monopoly of the technology, Graffiti art and culture is lacking in support, to repeat myself again: Graffiti remains a CRIME in most urban areas, where it still thrives and grows in new hearts and minds of all ages, throughout all the genetic-soup packets and nationalities brewing in Great Britain, and around most of the world.

Australia seems to have a particularly destructive policy concerning Urban Street Art, along with the UK, and the U.S. I would propose that cultures and environments with a healthy and blooming Urban Street Art movement are the sign of a healthy community: New York, Paris, Brighton, Berlin, Bristol all have a recognized Graffiti culture, but even in these culture capitals Graffiti is still defined as a criminal offence and punishable by law.

The emergence of internet and the means for everybody to communicate with the rest of the world, at least for a few moments and turn each other onto alternative versions of historical and cultural events, probable causes, new models and metaphors, hidden influences etc, the centralized power structure has failed, the bullshit has piled up so high that nobody can breath anymore, let alone see, choking on our own entropy and bullshit, to be negative.

The creativenegentropic processes at work in manipulating "reality" and "Language" by way of what I call 'Good Graffiti, on the other hand, may help save some of the collective mind of humanity from going totally insane due to the alphabetical virus gone wild, and the enhanced redundancy of information in our daily messages. Mondo Garaj is the debut studio album and fourth album by the jazz/rock/funk/fusion/jam band Garaj Mahal.

Recorded in late 2000 and early 2001 at In The Pocket Studio in Sonoma County, CA, then subsequently mixed/mastered over 2001 and 2002 at Talcott Mountain Studio in Simsbury, CT, The Plant Studios in Sausalito, CA, Phelps Studios in San Francisco, CA, and Fluffland Studio in San Anselmo, CA, and finally released in 2003 on Harmonized Records as the band's first studio effort (after three live discs), Mondo Garaj captures Garaj Mahal in its relative infancy. Keyboardist Eric Levy had recently joined, and although he's prominent on these songs, his contributions have grown considerably since. In fact, only two songs from this album appeared on any of the subsequent live discs. But with musicians of the caliber and experience of bassist Kai Eckhardt, drummer Alan Hertz, and Fareed Haque on guitars, there is nothing tentative about this recording. Sounding like a combination of Return to Forever and the Mahavishnu Orchestra in their '70s heyday, Garaj's jazz-rock fusion requires chops and innovation to stay interesting and avoid aimless noodling. They succeed, and even though the primarily instrumental cuts average seven minutes each, they never become repetitious or overstay their welcome. All four musicians are extraordinarily talented, but each adds his own instrumental prowess without hogging the spotlight. Not surprisingly, Haque's guitar, especially his "sitar guitar," takes center stage and infuses an East Indian feel to songs like "Beware My Ethnic Heart." But he leaves plenty of solo space for Levy, whose fleet-fingered synthesizer work — reminiscent of Jan Hammer — trades licks with speed and precision on the opening funky workout "Mondo Garaj." Michael Kang (musician) of The String Cheese Incident is featured as are DJ Fly Agaric 23 and DJ Roto (a.k.a. musician/journalist James Rotondi) who add turntable scratching, loops, and samples to keep the sound contemporary, but this is really a showcase for the jaw-dropping talents of the four bandmembers. The band gels on all the tracks, but shows what it can do on "Hindi Gumbo," which features Haque's acoustic sitar/guitar solo. Nothing takes the place of seeing the band pull this off live, but Mondo Garaj provides a snapshot of how these four gifted individuals — each of whom could be a band leader in his own right — combine into a fine-tuned unit.

Fly Agaric flew in from Amsterdam to maintain the audio component of the show, Chromatouch assisted with the animated projections and the Jibbering crew were in full effect. JOHN SINCLAIR and his AMSTERDAM BLUES SCHOLARS

We kicked of 2010 with a live recording session at the EI COMPLEX studios, Amsterdam. After our initial session last year - tentatively titled 'Doctor Marshmallow Cubicle' - we returned in 2010 with special guest, John Sinclair, to record six poems as a trio.

Starting at roughly noon, Vincent and myself recorded two sets of music, follwed by 3 sessions with John Sinclair starting around 5 PM through until 8. We made two passes on "It smells like Sulphur here" playing a little slower on the second cut, and the poem in honour of Jimi Hendrix "Scuze Me While I Kiss The Sky" is repeated twice by John, capturing our groove and giving us a healthy double-dose of the poem. The other tracks were spontaneous creations, unplanned grooves, built from feeding back with John a little before we played and listening to him while we played, in our headphones. The poems we recorded together were:

Shortly after the session I handed the freshly cut tracks to John, whom promptly programed some of them into his underground radio show to stunning effect, that you can listen to on show 304 now.

I went back to the the studio again yesterday, wednesday 13th January, and picked up the earlier part of the session where Vince and I let loose on some Marshmallow mayhem.

We plan to modify parts of these sessions further and produce an album, including turntable parts, bass, and other instrumentalists, plus we will record - new fresh - material in the coming months.

At 'Reggae on the river festival this year up in Humbolt county California i was reding Finnegans Wake by my lost uncle - James Joyce 22:33 - preparing for the "Tale of the Tribe" Maybelogic Academy class and discovered the woidz "hip" and "hop". "HipHop Handicap" was partly in reference to brewing a sort of hallucinogenic moonshine me thinks, so then I had an epiphany allatonce; thinking hip hop roots doublyn and the minds of the people.

Hip Hop, like other cultural phenomenon - was born from a complex of origins. A combination of social, technological and perceptive revolutions brought about by the invention of a brand knew language, a vehicle or vessel to contain the expanding post quantum - "minds of the people'. A revolution in telepathic telecommunications you might spit. In the year 2005 the four quarters of the "Hip Hop Culture Eara" are not taught enough in many certified school curriculum's, not getting presented in church meetings, or getting academically acknowledged as a revolutionary and universally important branch of proper 21st Century scientific investigation. The time has come

The purpose for my own investigations into shamanism, entheogenisis and stereoscopic Ideogramic method, is to gloss a still damp - freshly painted picture - a new "representation" empowering the indigenous tribal elders, and the indigenius warriors of the knew global Hip Hop Culture Revolution. I propose that the four traditional corners of "hip hop' culture - Msceeing, Dee Jaying, Break-dancing, Caligraphy - are universal themes within modern cultures around the globe. From sombunal of my own experiences i have approximated and guessed that future spatio/temporal advances within timespace travel must also include the widely recognized four elemental axioms which contain 'Hip Hop" culture'.

Freestyle rapping or rhyming looks and sounds to me like urban shamanic languaging. It includes the vital spontaneous tools of invention required to comprehend the new science, which similar to the ancient I Ching requires experiential "witnessing" to rearrive at any empirical results and therefore freestyle rapping builds upon metaphor like voltage, Assimilation and expanded perceptions. Untruths and unreal mythological scholar warriors of word world webs woven together to mesh together a knitted hierarchy of values. On the fly for the world wide web to chew on.

The second face of the new "Hip Hop" cubehouse which geographically faces the "High priest of ceremonies" or M.C, is painting, graffiti and more specifically branded aerosol art. Here we arrive at french surrealists dreamtime or Italian futurists hallucination juice. Un-institutionalized, un-legalized pictographic memies swarm the urban concrete canvas like a clingo-linguistic virus, erupting from an underground laboratory - inhabited by scholar-mystics from the future hoarding a massive stash of car paint, not working for nobody but gods

World leaders and policy makers must learn to tolerate this new scientific language, this new revolutionary language in the minds of the people, or , at the veryvery least lean about the skeleton keystone which supports the body poetic of the new "HipHop Culture Eara" which is emerging from a dirty mucky Bog smelling of peach blossom rose leaves.

Once you have had your tools twisted and taken away, your language arrested, your town bulldozed and your mind controlled - breakdancing in the street morphs into another face upon the cubehouse of the new science of the neo "HipHop Cult Era" Casting it's very own revolutionary language into minds of the people - aerodeogramphickly. The ability to create alphabet's with new flesh body parts and limbs has been a way to communicate and waltz for yonks, but in the western lands it seems to have been dropped and left for rotting carcas in the "Reality field" of psynce fiction known as "social entertainment"

An experienced breakdancer will be able to allude to multiple languages simultaneously by spinning and switching between cymbals to create another body poetic logic. With the addition of directed sunlight a sillouette or photograph can be cast upon any wall or boundary which sings us back aroundaboat to the new "Hip Hop Paintography" although, this time around we might imagine a "material paint free" image - thrown up against an Urban Jungle Canvas, decorated by a chrome boombox and a 40 in the forground. Claude Shannon has shown to me through his brilliant mathematical theory of communications that, the new Science of the "HipHop CKulture Era" contains more acurate information than the entire His story of our western civilization, more harmony with shamanism than any rational anthropocentricked anthropologist - or academic intellectual. In the process of condensing what i have experienced and witnessed in the United States and the United Kingdom over the last ten years, i have re-arrived at the center of a what i like to call the cubehouse or the knew science of the "HipHop Culture Earer".

Carlos Perez Shuma poetically compared spirits to "radio waves", and said that once you turn on the "forest television" you can pick em up lyk "radio waves", Its similar with souls - with ayahuasca you can see them and hear them.
